Christina Guieb

Christina Guieb was born in New Zealand. In 2017, she graduated from the New Zealand School of Dance. She started her career with the New Zealand Dance Company, where she has appeared in creations such as Michael Parmenter's Orpheus- A Dance Opera, Stephanie Lake's If Ever Was Now, and Ross McCormack's Matter (2018) and Artefact (2021). She also danced McCormack's As It Stands for Muscle Mouth in 2019 and in the same year she danced for Chunky Move in Antony Hamilton's performance Token Armies. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with Damien Jalet several times. She appeared in his short film Anima and in Jalet’s and Kohei Nawa's Planet-Wanderer which was produced by the Théâtre National de Chaillot in Paris. She also danced in Jalet’s and Erna Ómarsdóttir's DuEls for Nagelhus Schia Productions in 2020. In 2022 she danced with the Eastman company in the performance S3, choreographed by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. From the 2022-2023 season, Guieb has been part of the Opera Ballet Vlaanderen company.
