Kapin Gabor

Gabor Kapin, born in Budapest, Hungary, started his ballet training at the Hungarian Dance Academy. As a student, Gabor had the chance to perform with the Hungarian National Ballet in their productions of The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Coppelia, and Balanchine’s La Sonnambula. In 1999, he relocated to the United States to join Carolina Ballet, where he quickly rose to the rank of soloist. Between 2005 and 2008, Gabor danced with the Boston Ballet where he had the opportunity to work with numerous contemporary and modern choreographers. He returned to the Carolina Ballet as a principal dancer and built himself an impressive repertoire, dancing in productions by Weiss, Robbins, Balanchine, and many more. Gabor joined the Royal Ballet of Flanders as a principal in August 2013. Since season 2016-2017 he took on responsibilities as a ballet master. He became a full time ballet master starting 2017-2018.
