Nicha Rodboon
Dancer
Nicha Rodboon was born in Bangkok, Thailand. She studied at the Aree School of Dance Arts in Thailand, after which she completed her training at the English National Ballet School in London. She graduated in 2011 and became a member of the Bayerisches Staatsballett in Munich until 2017, where she danced in works by choreographers such as George Balanchine, Merce Cunningham and John Neumeier. Since the 2017-2018 season, she has been a member of the Opera Ballet Vlaanderen company. Her performances here have included Noetic by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, the world premiering creation Palmos by Adonis Foniadakis, Half Life by Sharon Eyal, Tempus Fugit by Johan Inger, Le Sacre du printemps by Pina Bausch, Mozart/Concert Arias. Un moto di gioia in a choreography by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and Richard Siegal’s New Ballet mécanique.
