The prestigious Semperoper from Dresden, where three of Richard Wagner’s earliest operas were first performed, is now also the home of the famous Semperoper Ballett. In close consultation with William Forsythe, its artistic director Aaron S. Watkin has compiled a ballet evening with works from the repertoire of Ballett Frankfurt. The Royal Ballet of Flanders has in the past danced Forsythe’s works, including Artifact. In this programme you will see the sequel to this (music by Bach) and eight touchingly beautiful pas de deux to music by Handel, Bach, Berio and Thom Willems.
