Dancers Ballet Flanders
In the now 13th edition of the successful Choreolab series, the dancers of Royal Ballet Flanders have once again been invited to develop their own choreographies and present them to the public. For several months, they will be coached by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and the artistic staff of Royal Ballet Flanders in creating their work. The creations are danced by their fellow dancers and the costume and set workshops provide the technical support.
The different languages of movement that the dancers have been exposed to throughout the season provide inspiration and challenge the dancers to find their own voice, their own forms of expression and a personal dance idiom. What's more, as a company, Royal Ballet Flanders is made up of many different nationalities, which brings countless external influences as well.
Choreolab # 13 promises to offer a rich programme in which the dancers will present a surprising variety of styles and languages of movement. An absolute must see!
