PERSPECTIVES ON BACH
Johann Sebastian Bach

Music from Die Kunst der Fuge, Das musikalische Opfer and other works by J.S. Bach through the eyes of Schumann, Rachmaninov, David Bruce and others.
In the 2022-'23 season, Opera Ballet Vlaanderen will initiate a process of cross-pollination between live music and dance with musicians, dancers and choreographers from among its own ranks. The prelude to this series of Chamber Movements is 'Perspectives on Bach', in which abstract, instrumental compositions by the German master are read through the eyes of romantic composers, but are equally given a jazzy or klezmer treatment. A lively, multi-coloured choreographic and musical trip!
