Choreographers Johan Inger and Jan Martens both present a performance about time, accompanied by intimate piano and harpsichord music.

In the upcoming seasons, the Belgian top choreographer Jan Martens will be an associate artist of Opera Ballet Vlaanderen. In FUTUR PROCHE he constructs a performance about the impending future with fifteen of our ballet dancers, two children and harpsichordist Goska Isphording. After two previous successful productions to harpsichord music, Martens again finds inspiration in a surprising, contemporary repertoire for the age-old instrument. Armed with this symbol of human reinvention, he searches for alternatives to the ubiquitous, dark visions of the future. After a premiere at the Cour d'Honneur of the prestigious Festival d'Avignon and before leaving on an international tour, we present FUTUR PROCHE together with Tempus Fugit by Johan Inger. This Swedish choreographer already amazed our dancers and spectators with B.R.I.S.A. Now he returns with Tempus Fugit, a penetrating, danced exploration of the grieving process and time's healing to the hope-giving music of Johann Sebastian Bach.
