Gustav Mahler's Third Symphony is a breathtaking journey through the creation of the world.

The work unfolds in six movements that depict the universe and humanity. It successively explores primal forces, flora, fauna, mankind, angels, and love. With a duration of nearly two hours, this symphony for large orchestra, various choirs, and solo alto is Mahler's most extensive work and one of the longest in the symphonic concert repertoire. Raw, vital, and full of energy. It is no coincidence that Mahler composed this symphony in his composing hut in the Austrian countryside, surrounded by the stunning Alps and unspoiled nature. Due to its immense scale, this work is rarely performed. A perfect challenge for Kazushi Ono, the Brussels Philharmonic, the Flemish Radio Choir, and the Children's Choir of Opera Ballet Vlaanderen.
