The strings of the OBV Symphony Orchestra, conducted by concertmaster Maximilian Lohse, present a compelling, romantic programme with, as pièce de la résistance, the Serenade for Strings, opus 48 by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Elgar's charming Serenade is also on the bill, alongside the rarely heard Oración del Torero by Spanish composer Joaquín Turina.
