Now more than ever, we stay comitted to our goal of moving our audience with our art. That is why we have been working hard to continue to bring you the beauty of opera and ballet, even now that we can't enter our opera house just yet. A brand new series of video performances, titled #imaginationisalive, is the result.
Like so many of you, we have been following the news in the United States with horror, sadness and anxiety. The systemic disadvantage of the black community, the senseless violence to which black people are subjected, the raw racism, the arbitrariness and the lawlessness are utterly painful and cannot be tolerated.
Normally, you would have already received our season programme in your mail box. Unfortunately, that will not be the case this year. But there is no need to despair: we are working on alternatives, both virtual and live, to keep bringing you the beauty of opera and ballet.
Out of concern for our audience’s and staff’s health, we have taken the decision to cancel all performances until the end of July and all big operas and ballets until the end of 2020. Do you have any questions about the impact of these measures? You may find the answer down below.
