Virginia Hendricksen was born in Texas, United States. She received her training from Kingwood Dance Theater, American Ballet Theater, and Houston Ballet Academy. Following graduation, she joined Ballett Frankfurt at the age of 19 under the direction of William Forsythe, and enjoyed dancing his well-known pieces such as In The Middle, Somewhat Elevated, The Second Detail and Artifact. Following her time at the Ballett Frankfurt, Virginia worked as a freelance dancer for the Dominic Walsh Dance Theater until she joined the Royal Ballet of Flanders in 2005. She has danced feature roles in pieces by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, William Forsythe, David Dawson and Jiří Kylián, among others. Virginia is currently a half soloist.
