The Spring Pass is a tailor-made package for those ready to discover opera and ballet. In the spring of 2025, come face to face with three top titles from three different disciplines. Because let’s be honest, who has ever regretted an evening of opera, ballet, or film music? Exactly—no one! Who would you gift a Spring Pass to?

Wat zit er in de Lentepas?

DER FREISCHÜTZ (opera)

'Woe to those who see symbols!'

In a dilapidated clubhouse on the edge of the forest, a hunting association stubbornly clings to its traditions. Young hunter Max must prove himself in a test shoot before he can marry his beloved Agathe. Fearing failure, he becomes entangled with dark forces and practices. Will these magical rituals help him hit the mark? Swiss theater legend Christoph Marthaler and the equally legendary scenographer Anna Viebrock playfully puncture the symbolic status of Der Freischütz.

CROWD (ballet)

An ode to the crowd

With hypnotic precision, French-Austrian choreographer Gisèle Vienne analyzes a group of people in Crowd as they meet at a nocturnal rave party, seemingly consumed by repressed desires. Driven by pulsating electronic beats and raw emotions, they seek connection. Gisèle Vienne creates fascinating and deeply human portraits by focusing on the emotional – rather than the real – perception of time by her characters. A homage to club culture, an ode to the crowd that embodies the promise of community.

IN FELLINI'S TRAIL (concert)

Post-performance discussions in the foyer with our talented in-house artists

In Fellini's Trail brings atmospheric music for a nine-piece ensemble of strings and winds, a type of ensemble that doesn't often take the stage. However, Czech composer Bohuslav Martinů and Nino Rota, famous for his music in the legendary films of Federico Fellini, wrote inspired scores for this configuration. Two brilliant works that enter into dialogue with the lively Quintet, Opus 39, by Sergei Prokofiev.
